114 Bailey Street, Clunes, VIC, 3370 Keebles Country House Bed and Breakfast Keebles Country House is a stunning bed and breakfast amidst private well-established formal gardens that offer a range of activities for friends, families and groups in the idyllic setting of Clunes. This grand two-storey residence started life in 1863 as the Telegraph Hotel and has an amazing history to be pondered and explored. There are 5 private individually styled bedrooms appointed with an ensuite featuring a shower and toilet. Our 5 rooms are: • The Spa Room – Queen Bed with a 2 person spa bath • The Sweetheart room – Queen Bed • The Tapestry room – Queen Bed • The French Room – King Bed or Two single beds • The Cupid Room - Queen Bed As guests of Keebles you will be treated to breakfast between 7:00am and 9:00am, all day access to teas, coffees and nibbles, free WIFI and a complementary happy hour which features local wine and produce. Other meals can be facilitated through our hosts, they are onsite to make sure your stay is perfect, but be assured that the house and grounds are so spacious that your privacy is guaranteed. Each room has a TV, DVD player and air-conditioning. Please note all bedrooms are on the top level and are accessible by stairs only so unfortunately disability access is not available. Downstairs you have access to a formal and informal dining room and four sitting rooms: • Library and games room with pool table, chess board and fireplace. • Music room complete with gramophone. • Conservatory – with a Flat Screen TV, Foxtel and 180 degree glass windows which allow you to take in the beauty of the Keebles gardens at days and the stars at night. • Formal – Enjoy reading a good book or having a chat in front of the fireplace. Relax and have fun. Outside there are 3 acres of grounds with dining and seating areas, barbecues, ½ size tennis court and pitch ‘n’ putt green. Being a country house there are also 2 four legged occupants: Bert and Lilly (the Kats of Keebles). They are not allowed upstairs and in any of the bedrooms at any time. The house is strictly non-smoking, but you may smoke at a number of the seating areas throughout the garden. We also advise that due to the peace and serenity we wish our guests to enjoy, this is an adults only property. The Neighbourhood The Town of Clunes is named after Clunes in north-west Scotland. The meaning of Clunes is “a pleasant place” or “resting place”. What better name would suit the location of Keebles Bed and Breakfast. Clunes is Victoria's first gold rush town and 1 of 16 International Booktowns. It is rich in history and has an unspoilt streetscape which photographers will appreciate. There are a number of fun and stylish eateries, as well as many shops selling books (of course) and uniquely curated collectables and antiques.
